Whether you’re a creative or musician looking to produce your next project, an adventure seeker craving connection to self, or a city-dwelling guest looking to get away – Moonbeams is a safe destination for self expression, slowing down, and experiencing nature.

Our Story

We are Alex and Graham, artists and entrepreneurs. After a combined 18 years in New York City and experiencing global endeavors, we came to reject stagnation but rejoice in slowing down. So, we traded Brooklyn for the border of the Berkshires, where the Hudson Valley climbs into the Taconic Mountains of Colombia County, NY. We discovered a 38 acre parcel in Austerlitz, NY and spent the summer reconnecting with our naturalist-selves. While we walked in our woods, swam in our babbling brook, and revived the property's existing structures, we imagined Moonbeams — a creative destination and playground for Artists, Musicians, Entrepreneurs and Adventure Seekers.

Meet Alex

Total type nerd, mushroom enthusiast and founder of Little Echo — a full service creative studio that designs brand experiences for purpose driven brands of all shapes and sizes.

An artist at her core, Alex has a BFA in Advertising & Graphic Design from The School of Visual Arts in New York City.

She built a career in corporate advertising, working for global fortune 500 companies, where she was pushing pixels as fast as she could, and concepting late into the night. Advertising proved to be thrilling, bringing her abroad to Warsaw and Bangkok – but she traded fast-paced work for freelancing. Lacking creative fulfillment and a positive impact on the greater good, she founded Manifest It.

Alex came to believe that slowing down, coupled with a safe space, is what breeds creativity. So she joined Graham upstate to nurture her connection to nature, nourish her mind and body, and be inspired by like-minded thinkers.

Meet Graham

Never met a hot sauce he didn’t love, guitar tone obsessed and founder of Stone Studio —  where he’s a platinum-streaming recording engineer and mixer and sought out producer.

Graham studied Studio Production at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College. He became immersed in the frenetic indie music scene in Brooklyn, performing and writing in bands, and working as an engineer in studios, all while facilitating career-defining recording retreats for artists in his carriage house studio in the country, that he dubbed – Stone Studio. His clients include major label artists, New York Times best-selling authors and podcasters, and independent artists on the rise.

Graham’s love of nature, and the peaceful productivity he found, inspired him to commit to expanding his creative business upstate.

A place for intimate gatherings, collaboration, and inspiration, free from the distractions of urban-life — Moonbeams is an inclusive creative destination for artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and adventure seekers. A world away from it all, yet accessible enough for even the day-tripping city dwelling adventurer, Moonbeams is surrounded by State Forest, on a picturesque dirt road.

At Moonbeams, we encourage realignment, inspire creativity and realize production.
We invite you to stay, play, and produce with us, to experience all the inspiration nature has to offer.
